Happy Saturday folks! I got something in the mail today…
Anna over at The Walden Effect has been running a few book giveaways lately, and I managed to win one! If you’ve never read Anna and Mark’s blog before, I highly recommend it. They are currently in their 6th year of homesteading in the Virginia countryside, and it is one of the most well written and informative self-sufficiency blogs I’ve ever read. If you want to learn how to manage your homestead, this is THE place to go.
In any case, I’m excited to see how Free Range Chicken Gardens can help me create a little more harmony between my chickens and my garden. Stay tuned for a full review soon!
Here’s my links for the week. For a full taste of what interests me, follow me on Twitter.
- Here’s a beautiful graphic novel about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
- If this is actually true, then it is absolutely shameful. One in three young adults don’t know that chickens come from eggs.
- Just another example of why industrial agriculture will eventually fail.
- Outrageous price gouging in an Inuit community in northern Canada.
Have a good weekend!
Disclosure: The two book links are to Amazon, and I get a very small commission if you purchase anything through those links.
Holy Chicken Batman, your chickens can read? LOL love the pic, and can not wait to hear your reviews
Hah! That one’s the boss, and I knew she would come to check the book out if I set it down. 😉
