Finally! I found eggs!!
Seriously, my chickens are over seven months old, and these are the first eggs that I’ve found. I wasn’t quite sure I was going to make it… 😉
I guess you ladies are moochers no more…

Oh my gosh! They’re so big! Ours are just hitting seven months and they’re seem so much smaller! Do you have Orpingtons?
They are actually Buff Rocks, but they look almost exactly like Buff Orpingtons. I can’t say for sure these are the actual first eggs, but if they aren’t, they hid the first ones well!!
Haha. I certainly wouldn’t put it passed them hiding eggs them so well if they’re free range. The picture looks like the are. Until recently one of our six girls wasn’t laying. Or so we thought. Last month we found a clutch of 14 eggs beneath a bush just a few feet from their coop.
